WHY DOES A FAT TRANSFER OCCUR?

Have you ever jokingly said to friends that you would like to relocate the fat from one area of your body to another? Although many women might relate to this sensation, not all women are aware that fat transfer is a common treatment. Plastic surgeons like those found at Cosmetique in Lahore, Pakistan, do fat transfers.

What Is a Fat Transfer, exactly?

A fat transfer sometimes referred to as fat grafting or fat injection, is a fantastic non-surgical approach to add volume to various parts of your body. With a fat transfer, gentle liposuction without anesthesia is used to remove fat from spare body areas, such as the hips, lower back, lower abdomen, inner and outer thighs, and hips. The donor site refers to the location from where the fat is extracted.

After being removed, the fat from the donor site is moved to parts of the body that would look better with more volume. This usually refers to the face. Age-related volume loss in the face can be reversed with fat injections without the use of synthetic fillers.

Where It Works

Under-eye bags, chin, and cheek volume, and sunken or wrinkled parts of the face can all be improved with this surgery. In addition to adding volume, a fat transfer restores the skin's supply of nutrients and circulation, giving it a healthier, younger appearance.

Although it is customary to transfer fat to the face, this technique can also be beneficial for other areas of the body, such as:

  • Hands

  • Breasts

  • Buttocks

  • Lips

Moreover, scars and other unnatural depressions or dimples on the body can be effectively treated with fat injections.

Do Transfers Outperform Fillers?

Whether one of these is superior to the other depends on the individual. While a fat transfer is a surgical treatment, fillers are less invasive and have nearly no recovery time.

As opposed to synthetic materials, fat grafts are seen by many as a more natural alternative because they involve infusing your organic material back into your body. Because this medication is natural, there are also fewer risks and adverse effects.

Moreover, fillers only provide a short-term fix for volume problems. If you choose fillers, you will require regular treatments—anywhere between once every few months and once a year. Compared to fillers, the effects of a fat transfer are more durable and permanent.

What Steps Comprise the Process?

Once you and your best doctor in MM Alam, Lahore, have selected a donor site, the fat is extracted from that area by making a tiny incision and inserting a cannula that is attached to an extraction syringe. When the fat has been extracted, it is treated in a specialized centrifuge to separate the healthy fat cells from the inferior ones. The target location, also known as the recipient site, will only receive the healthiest fat cells.

A needle or cannula will subsequently be inserted by your surgeon into the recipient site's incision. To deposit lines of fatty tissue packages in natural tissue planes until the desired effect is obtained, the injection needle or cannula is often entered and removed from the recipient location several times.

Anesthesia

Local anesthetic or IV sedative anesthesia are also options when performing fat injections. For most procedures, local anesthetic is adequate. You will need your best doctor's pre-operative approval if you choose IV sedation. Your heart rate, blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels will all be monitored throughout the process to guarantee your safety.
